We Should Expect Unity

They have broke ranks and put 800,000 Dreamers lives in jeopardy in a poor attempt to save their own political asses.

Let’s be clear: 9 out of 10 AMERICANS, regardless of political party, want a DACA deal now.

Voting to pass this CR does nothing to ensure that the issue will be taken up by Republicans 4 weeks from now. Dreamers are already being deported. More will get deported.

March 5th will come and go and all these Senators will have in exchange for their vote today is republican excuses.

VOTE NO!

The Hastert rule - if Republican House members can't pass it, it doesn't even get a vote.

Have you noticed Ryan lives by that rule?

Let's get CHIP now, and new DACA tomorrow! This is as good as it gets today.

If republicans want CHIP they can pass it without a single Democrat vote. They don’t need us and nothing is stopping them. Nothing has been stopping them for several months.

Why haven’t they voted for then?

To weaponize it and break and humiliate Democrats.

Dreamers and their supporters (read: almost everyone) will see this as a betrayal, it will matter in November when we see hundreds of thousands Dreamers being rounded up and arrested and deported starting in March because Democrats would not stand their ground.

Voting yes on this CR will break our momentum going into November and more importantly it will empower republicans.

We will never get the opportunity because we win or lose the election in November by how we handle ourselves on this issue.

Stand strong! Vote NO!
