Are the democrats about to fold ?

They are meeting right now. I am hoping they are not going to fold and vote for a temporary CR with no DACA. This would generate a huge backslash from the base.

5. hopefully they stay strong.

senator hirono just left the room and is live on Rachel. I am a bit reassured since she is saying the majority of the caucus is holding strong and they are still caucusing.

2. According to Mazie Hirono, nothing has changed.

The meeting is still going on but it doesn't sound like they are going to fold.

Fuck Trump he wants to go to his fucking $100,000-250,000 a plate party at mar-a-lago.

Repigs can't govern for shit. Perfect time for a massive march!!!!

4. Depends on how temporary

A few days or a week, no problem. A month or two, not so good.

6. even a few days would be bad for the optics.

I know they may try that in order to buy time for negociations but it would still hurt.

7. It all depends on what comes out of it

A few days or a week with something most of us can live with, OK. A delay of any length with nothing productive as a result, then there is hell to pay.

9. They'd better not. This is Trump's shutdown. Don't betray the Dreamers

I don't (to my knowledge) personally even know any Dreamers. But I, like most Americans, know what is fair and what is betrayal. And I say, bring on the shutdown. We have to honor our promise to DACA.
