He will change his mind on a whim.
I think Kelly calls all the shots.

I am glad that our party stayed the course. It will be interesting, to say the least, to see what happens next.

(21,712 posts)He gets to play the chaos card, the blame Congress card (he will first blame D's, and hold his blame R's card if things go south), the impoverished military card, the protect our borders card, and the victim of the media card. Oh, and the endangering the economy card.
An impressive play to the base, and a handshake to potential supporters.

(1,588 posts)Trump will take a hit.
If he drags his feet and refuses to work with the democratic members he will be the bad guy.
He still thinks he is CEO of his crappy company.
You know he will screw this up with twitts.

(21,712 posts)Few people pay attention to Congressional budget negotiations, but Trump is building this up as a "season finale". His first year ends with a booming economy, a huge tax cut for the unforgotten Americans, and, despite his incompetent underlings, he gets a ticking clock last second rescue of the government meltdown. This could be bigger than Idol, and bigger ratings mean bigger support.

He will blink.
I think the republicans were used to pushing around the Democratic members of Congress.
They got a shock tonight.
There comes a time when you have to stand and fight.
