2. I do not believe the incidents are related at all.

The Wall Street Urinal reported the Stormy Daniels matter last week, but the shutdown deadline was always there, and there was always a better than even chance that there would be a shutdown just because the GOP are dicks and Trump is a shitty negotiator. He didn't want the shutdown either because it's screwing up his fancy party at Merde-a-Loco.

The Stormy Daniels matter isn't going away, shutdown or no shutdown, because of the hush money and the question of where it came from.
