I've always heard that if you don't like the weather in Arkansas,

stick around for a few minutes.

Less than a week ago we had overnight temps in the single digits. Right now it's 72 degrees outside, thunder is rumbling and we are under a tornado watch.

But, tornado watch in January? I'm guessing what with climate change tornado season is now pretty much all year long.

A decade ago he called me up and said what's the weather there? I said 68 and sunny. He said I am on the next plane out, I am tired of being snowed in.
He landed on an early afternoon in February. Temp was still up near 70, took a 30 degree nose dive in a few hours and the wind picked up. By the time we finished dinner, it was storming and there were tornado sightings. The rain turned to sleet and the next morning when we woke up the whole city was locked-down in ice.
The only thing we were missing, at the time, was an earthquake.
