President Donald Trump finally plans to hold his first state dinner. The honored guest: French President Emmanuel Macron.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at a press briefing Wednesday that Trump will host the French president and his wife. She said the official date is still being finalized.


The president didn’t host a formal state dinner in his first year of office.
