One would logically suppose Trump would be among the last interviews. One would further suppose that, having deposed persons lower in the food chain, he won't be asking any questions to which he does not already know the answer. That's assuming Trump chooses to actually answer questions. He's not charged with anything and is under no obligation to do so at this time. Even if he is questioned, it won't be under oath.

Mueller has the upper hand.

Second, his alternative is a subpoena before a grand jury. So for Trumpy, it's either the frying pan or the fire. Trumpy might want to reason that he'll fare better with an interview by Mueller's team rather than a GJ. At least his legal team can be present and might be able to maneuver some freedom of movement.

Third, if it's a GJ, it's Trumpy without legal counsel having to answer unpredictable questions in a truthful manner.

For perhaps the first time in his 71 years of life, Trumpy will have to face the truth.

It took nearly 6 years to investigate White Water/Lewinski. It also took years for Whitewater.

These things don't fly by quickly.

Also, they haven't interviewed Trump or Kushner yet. You usually interview you targets last so you have all the info needed to know if they are lying.

That is full of holes. You are suggesting Mueller should complete this investigation on your schedule? Or perhaps you are suggesting that there is some sort of conspiracy in this inordinately lengthy investigation? Neither option is very flattering to a Dem.

To put together a strong, credible, thoughtful case that reaches this deeply into the bowels of our government/the presidency as it does ....

And AGAINST a sitting (treasonous rat bastard) president, all as to be damn near perfect on Mueller's end.
