Books to read in the age of Trump

I've read a couple, and have many in my to-read pile, but the one i'm reading right now I would recommend that every single person read.

https://www.amazon.com/Dangerous-Case-Donald-Trump-Psychiatrists/dp/1250179459/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1516996748&sr=1-3&keywords=the+dangerous+case+of+donald+trump

it's an education of sorts for the lay person. several possible diagnoses are discussed (he's probably got most or all of them). I'm still not clear on whether he knows he's lying all the time, but i do know that he has carefully arranged to be around enablers. it is imperative to clear the trump cult out of government. it's really dangerous, and so is the president.

a post from GoodReads.com (which incidentally when you try to read the reviews the top one is a 1-star obviously republican who doesn't want to know): "It represents the most necessary read of our time. The only waste is not to read it."

History has a way of repeating itself, y'all. Here's some books

The Third Reich at War by Richard J Evans. I just picked it up again and there are mirrors to the present day. One small example therein: Hitler would read the German papers in the morning and become incensed by things he read, like how the German judicial system was dealing with certain criminal acts (too lenient in his point of view). He would the fire letters and decrees off to various ministries in an outraged tiff. Just like a latter day tyrant watching Fox, no?

I would also recommend: They Thought They Were Free. I can't recall the author offhand. It is about how ordinary Germans got swept up into Nazism. It is a mirror into latter day deplorables.

Have read it, and the 3rd Reich books, a few times. very on point.

Wayne Barnett, now deceased, has written good books on Trump and on Ghouliani.

Tim O'Brien wrote a very readable book on Trump, with Trump's blessing, until Trump decided he did not like something in it, so he sued O'Brien, with intention of costing O'Brien some money, but joke was on Trump...O'Briens's lawyers made him sit thru a long agonizing deposition.

a passion? Not just disagree with him, but hate him more than they have ever hated anyone before? Because he still seems to be under the impression that he is handsome and talented and intelligent and that everybody who meets him falls in love with him. Nothing could be further from the truth.

so i imagine it looms in the back of his mind and contributes to him getting sicker and sicker. it's not something he can acknowledge imo. those people are just mean. the chapter i'm reading right now kind of speaks to your question. i'm still not an expert. i always knew he was a very sick man though. this book is also useful for validating what i've been saying since 2015.
