SNL pretty lame last nite...

some of the skits could have been written in 1982....cornball old person humor....not cutting edge...and this is a 66 year old speaking...the young ones can't relate to that crap. 2017 was pretty good....this year downhill so far.

I’m wondering if they are purposely backing off of the political humor for some reason.
Has Alec Baldwin grown tired of playing Trump?
If I was Lorne Michaels, I would have Kate McKinnon in almost every skit.
She is unbelievably talented.

Just this week we got 'revisionist history' going on the popularity of Bush 2.0. Timely.

SNL has always had a particular slant on humor - what would a stoned, buzzed viewer think is funny late on a Saturday night? I'd say, just about anything. That's a trademark of SNL.

And then there's this!

And that “music” made my ears bleed.
But, then, I hate almost all country music.

Real musicians playing real instruments and shredding their guitars?

For years now, if you wanna hear rock 'n' roll, dial up the 'country' station!

last year at hardly strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco. Was an amazing show. Hardly country at all, more like funky swamp rock with horns and man, it was good. http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/2017/webcast/?mrid=114074

I betcha somebody that works on that show reads this site.
All good producers, actors, and writers like constructive feedback if it is civil and done with good intent.

I needed a break from the gloom and doom of the news and the state of the country. The silliness was appreciated.

He's not as talented as he thinks he is. Other than playing Bush he's pretty uninspiring.

Plus he had had a lousy face lift. I didn't recognize him during the opening.

Even Weekend Update was weak this week.

I spotted the bad plastic surgery immediately...It was just a really bad show last nite. Farrell does slapstick,,,so that is where the writers went.
