Trump should not be too happy about Bowdich being appointed. There is speculation that Wray wanted McCabe out because he was vulnerable to being attacked, and wanted to protect the probe by taking that opportunity away from Trump and crew. He picked as a replacement, not only an unattackable #2, but a guy close to both Comey and Mueller, sending a message to Trump, the Bureau, and the public, that the investigation will continue on to full fruition.
