I moved from California 6 years ago...overall, how does the state feel about Nunes?

When I lived there, I had no awareness of the guy. He certainly wasn't in the headlines, as he is today.

I'm just curious as to the overall mood toward the guy in California right now, outside of the average Trump fan. Does he actually have "supporters," or is he writing his own final chapter to his political career"

so thanks for the post. But, as you must know, there is no "overall" for California. What are you thinking?

In any case, reports from his district would be interesting. He is running for reelection (rather amazingly considering his activities), and we are targeting him for removal. No doubt he has some big-money rewards promised if he needs private income and isn't diverted into an orange jumpsuit. Anyone able to comment on the 22nd district?

You're right, there is no "overall." I guess what I was getting at was that it's abundantly clear what we think about him here. I'm just curious as to the "most frequent" buzz about the guy in California.

Clovis and Visalia are the major towns.
Pretty much an Agricultural base; voters are typically white farmers and businessmen, but they're outnumbered by a migrant workforce that doesn't typically vote. His family is settled there, and he's got a vineyard so he's "one of theirs", no matter how stupid or venal he might be in politics.

I don't know who's running against him, but just based on the district dynamics, he should have a much better shot at holding his seat than most California Republicans do this term.

6. He keeps getting re elected, so I supposed folks in his district don't care about

the same things Democrats do. Californians aren't a monolithic voting bloc, and I suspect the average person here, like voters elsewhere, is barely aware of what Nunes is up to. Even so, unless they live in his solidly Republican district, which also elected Kevin McCarthy, Nunes seems safe enough.

No decent American would shelter a traitor, much less send him to Wash. D.C. as their representative.
