I admit the metaphor is cringeworthy but the fact is really sad.

In the first place, from the reports, the truck driver was trying to race the train to the crossing. Which makes it his fault. So the ReThugs weren't railroading anyone. (at least in this case.)

In the second place, I'm sure the truck driver's family isn't sitting around making wisecracks. I think we could all at least show a little respect.
