Clear as a bell. The number of people retiring on the GOP side is remarkable, especially in an election year. They know something is up and want to get clear of it before the disaster happens.

Is it they don't want to be known as a loser cause they see the handwriting on the wall and know they will get ousted by the Blue Wave?

Have they been cut off from their re-election money from the moneymen?

Or are they thinking that they can elude getting caught up in this whole collusion/conspiracy thingy surounding Trump & the Repug Party?

Will we see more Repugs announcing retirement well before Nov?

the teabaggers who got elected from 2010 on, claimed the "TEA" was that they were "taxed enough already" and now that the big tax giveaway for the rich has been enacted, their work is done.

He’s long expressed interest in becoming a federal judge. A seat on the Fourth Circuit Court, which covers South Carolina, became vacant just yesterday, and the current U.S. attorney in South Carolina is serving in an interim role”

Look at this:

Already, at least 36 House Republicans have announced they are retiring, running for another office or resigning outright... Democrats need to pick up 24 House seats to retake the majority...

https://www.cnn.com/2017/11/10/politics/house-retirement-tracker/index.html

The stunning victory of a new Democratic Senator in deep red Alabama, reduced the Republican majority to just two seats. We can do this!

At a PVI of R+15, it would be very likely to elect the Republican nominee. Unless Gowdy was facing a strong primary challenger, he was pretty much a shoo-in for re-election, even in a wave year. I doubt that he's leaving because he fears defeat at the polls.

This is Part II.

Someone upblog said that the Get Hillary investigations likely garnered their ammunition from Russia.

Too many squirmy Republicans to dissuade one from considering that storyline.

Chaffetz and Gowdy were Benghazi Buddies. I hope they're both rousted out of their new lives and frog-marched to federal prison.
