General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhat if Trump did
not collude with Russian, obstruct justice, cheat on wife, etc and he turned out to be just a rich conservative republican acting like a rich conservative republican.
If that were the case,
Would it really make a difference?
Would it not still be unacceptable for all democrats to have a conservative republican enacting policies that are counter democratic values?
Would it really matter if he is not charged with anything at all. He'd still be there and appearently negative media attention and protests do not cause him to alter course.
I personally feel the diverance is in policies and should be the real focus. I don't like thinking that the only support we can get at the poles are reliant on the chance that enough people hate our opponent.

(1,009 posts)he wouldn't be so desperately obstructing.
He wouldn't have fired Comey.
Wouldn't have pushed out McCabe
Wouldn't have discussed firing Mueller
Wouldn't be discrediting the FBI & main stream media
They wouldn't have met with so many russians during the campaign and then LIED about it.
Trump wouldn't have ignored sanctions.
Wouldn't have Pompeo & Coates meet with russian spies AND not mention it
Wouldn't be meeting with Russians in the white house covertly so that we only find out through Russian media.
Jared wouldn't have asked for a back channel
Sessions would not be responding at hearings "I do not recall"
I could go on...

(19,302 posts)If some other republican were in the Oval Office and with the jerks in the House and Senate, we would need to fight just as hard.
That said, you might want to think about wording your message differently. It can be interpreted as a defense of tRump.

"If some other republican were in the Oval Office and with the jerks in the House and Senate, we would need to fight just as hard. "
That was my point, despite flawed wording.

(66,814 posts)If he'd managed to win regardless, then he wouldn't be trying to undermine an investigation that would clear him.
But it seems likely that he is serving in the role of President through unlawful means, and we need to address that even as we work to undermine his disastrous policy decisions.
Your concern is noted.

(2,679 posts)And he did cheat on his wife. Wife #1. Its how we have Tiffany Trump.
If the orange shit really didn't work with the russians to steal the election, um TREASON, and all the other things he is accused of, lying, cheating, gabbing women by the p*ssy, money laundering etc etc... then I will have his name tattooed on my forehead.
Wait we already know he lied this morning with that BS tweet about his disgusting SOTU reading of words from the teleprompter. Woo hoo no tattoo. Just a matter of time before orange fuck is proven to be a traitor.

(10,777 posts)we deeply believe in the concept of representative democracy.
Only a fool lines up behind a potential dictator, regardless of his policies.
