(6,288 posts)Between the two of them we'd have economic & civil & human rights, & the strongest US Cabinet in a very long time & our standing in the World would be soundly met with a front of united allies.
A Beautiful new beginning to the re-building of a more solid future for the US & the planet.
That is an impressive respectable duo

(21,786 posts)he could do worse than to follow his great-uncle Ted, honestly. Still seems early to be thinking about him as a candidate for president or VP.

(63,221 posts)Why do we always drag down our own. He's got a few more years to get ready for prime time and he's 10 times more experience than Trump will ever be. Whatever experience he lacks, he makes up for in intelligence and has enough humility to appoint experts who are more experience than he is to cabinet positions. If there is one thing he is not, it's a know-it-all.
I don't know if we have another 6 years to wait for someone who can get the non-voters excited and into the voting booths.
(Sorry, I don't mean to come across as hostile toward you - I agree with you. I am just frustrated w/ a lot of the nay-sayers on this board.)

(63,221 posts)He is much different from many of the Kennedys in many ways, but for all their faults the family has always been devoted to public service. They are NOT out to fatten their bank accounts and they have always espoused solid Democratic values. I think he is just what we need.

(404 posts)Since the violent, oppressive takeover...er, "founding"... of this country, 100% of every presidential ticket of both major parties has had a white male attached. Harris/Loretta Sanchez makes a better ticket.
Time to move on. He'd make a good Sec of State, though.
