Joy Subbing For Lawrence Played Some Fox News Clips On This Memo.....

They were just short soundbytes of Hannity and a few other talking heads on Fox. They were full of lies and mistruths - but they were very biting with respect to the Russian investigation, Mueller and Steele as well as the Dems in general.

Now we know who these Fox folk were directing their negativity to - Trump's base who are faithful followers of Fox News.

I never listen to Fox and I know from comments here on DU that many on this board don't tune in Fox either.

What I took out of Joy's playing these clips is that I could see how powerful Fox's message is to that base. If all I listened to was Fox - I can see the brainwashing effort they use on Fox's faithful followers.

In my opinion - though we can see how this memo was a dud as far as we're concerned - I can see how it served it's purpose for Trump's base. The Fox people uses it masterfully for that purpose and if you only get your news from Fox I can see how the Fox audience can think this investigation is a witch hunt and is worse than Watergate and anyone on the other side of Trump is committing treason.

This is pretty powerful stuff we're up against and no matter what Mueller and his team bring down on Trump - it won't be believed by these Fox viewer's. There will be fierce pushback.

FOX should have their license revoked, or whatever it takes to keep a network on the air. Fox is nothing less than the official propaganda network for the GOP. There's never an honest report on that channel (save for Shep Smith once in a while).

They're just a gigantic megaphone, blasting out whatever meme the GOP wants it's base to disseminate at that particular time. It's disgusting, it really is, and they shouldn't have the ability to spread official government propaganda 24/7.

Trump has a nuclear war hard-on? Take out FOX "News", as it serves no honest, useful purpose.

but the FCC has no control over cable networks. I and everyone else who has cable are more responsible for Fox Newz, because we support those scumbags financially every time we pay our bills unfortunately.

If you want cable or satellite TV you have to have FOX, as they're all bundled. If there was an a-la-carte service FOX wouldn't bring in so much money.

7. I know some don't like it but I'd like to see a show on MSM News just outfoxing Fox

Maybe hosted by Media Matters. Because Fox News is THAT dangerous, especially right now, where they are literally State TV in the order of Pravda. Propping up and whitewashing traitorous behaviour in the highest office. I've missed the Fox trashing ever since Jon Stewart left the air. He was the master, but surely they can produce a a segment a day just going over the Fox News lies from the previous day. It would be bound to make F & F angry and they wouldnt be able to stop themselves from complaining about it. And just like Colbert, and The Daily Show, it will only drive viewers to see what the fuss is all about.

Because our side could actually put out a fact checking show on that propaganda outlet. But they couldn't with us.

on his show last night. I had heard he is known to do that but this was the first time I actually heard it myself. He didn't stop and roll his eyes or in any way put emphasis on it. Just matter of factly referred to it as Trump TV.

Went out a field project in a small town. Stopped and got gas. I remembered growing up in a small town a living that way till I was in my 30s. I even thought someday I’d like to find another small town to live in. What I realized was that one of the biggest divides is between small town folks and urban folks.

Was in a meeting out there and a guy made a comment how he just saw is new pay check and it was something like $20 increase for a 2 week check and we all laughed. Then shortly thereafter he starting talking about how sour pussed Pelosi was at the SOTU. All I could think is how he’d conveniently forgotten how the republicans were for Obama’s speeches. He’d forgotten that and obviously someone who gets his news from Fox. I just made a comment about all the fake applause and dropped it. I could see even he didn’t like the phony applause. He’s not a stupid guy. I hope little by little he’ll open his eyes.
