This is Philadelphia Eagles player Chris Long. He donated his entire season's income to charity, including his first 6 paychecks to Charlottesville Scholarship programs. Long also says he WILL NOT attend the WH to meet with Trump if the Eagles win the #SuperBowl #FlyEaglesFly

Just an incredible thing to do, very touching.

What do we really need to be happy? A house, a car or two, not too much really. Once you have these things, are you inspired to help others?

Chris Long is.

When he was with the Rams he anchored the defense

Rams did not resign him when they moved to L.A.

Long got picked up by New England.

He did NOT go to the W.H. last year.

He declared his salary before the start of this season.

New England did not resign him

He got picked up by the Eagles

Back to back Super Bowl wins for Mr. Long!

I severely doubt he's going to the WH, too. He didn't last year.

He is a great example of what fame and fortune SHOULD inspire people to do...help others and seek ways to make lives better instead of seeking ways to harm others for profit increases. A role model athlete and someone I was proud to have my son meet before the Rams left St. Louis. Congrats Chris, its great to see the good guys have their successful living rewarded.

Locally, Long has spent significant time and resources to help St. Patrick Center, a St. Louis non-profit that assists the homeless. Earlier this year, he joined fellow defensive end William Hayes to spend 24 hours on the streets of St. Louis as homeless men to help raise awareness.

In addition, Long has served the last four years as honorary chairman for Holiday Mail for Heroes, a partnership with the American Red Cross to provide holiday cards for veterans and active military members. Long has also supported #StartsWithUs, an effort that he helped launch last year to raise awareness about cyber bullying while encouraging the spread of kindness through social media.

With the Rams, Long has taken part in many community outreach programs, including military appreciation efforts, the United Way Kickoff for Charity Luncheon, Make-A-Wish Night of Wishes, Taste of the NFL, Urban League Thanksgiving Project and Coach Fisher’s Celebrity Softball Game. Long also purchases tickets to every home game and donates them to various charities and has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri.

“To be honest, I enjoy doing good things off the field,’’ Long said. “The selfish part of me is that I enjoy it. I love helping other people. ... This game’s given me a lot, it’s given me a lot to give back and it’s given me a platform, so if I don’t use it, I feel like I’m shorting myself and I’m shorting everybody else.’’

I seriously want to know what tRUMP has ever done for anyone else! This came up during the campaign, and I think it was one of his sons that said something like, "Well, he's hired so many people so he has given people jobs...that is something he has done for others." My reply would have been, "Yes, and again it comes back to himself. He needed to hire those people so his business could become bigger and he could make more money. Now, tell me one thing that tRUMP has done for someone else where he was not getting anything in return!"
