58. I went to a candidate meeting today and

some guy started talking about how Nancy has to go. I told him and the rest of the group that, as we were leaving our house, Nancy was into two plus hours of talking. Another lady spoke up and told us how she used to be a conservative Republican. She went to meetings where they spent a lot of time talking about how they needed to get rid of Nancy. She was enemy number one. I put the guy on the spot and asked him where he was getting the right wing talking points.

The right wingers in my state want to get rid of Mike Madigan, too. He is the leader of our party in Illinois, and he runs a very disciplined organization. The repiggies are poisoning minds against him from within and without the party. We need to take care that our so-called progressive wing of the party is not taken in by any of this. They need to examine what they are saying and why they are saying it. We need to look at who is saying critical things about our leadership!

We should not let anything divide us at this point in our history. We stand a good chance of defeating 45 and company if we stay united, whether we are moderate, center, or leftist Democrats.
