He has lost billions, all of his businesses go bankrupt or if not bankrupt are propped up with russian oligarch blood money.

He also has the brain and maturity of a 6 yr old. I say 6 because I know 7 yr olds who I would more trust to run the country.

From Forbes.

Trump’s net worth has grown about 300% to an estimated $4 billion since 1987, according to a report by the Associated Press. But the real estate mogul would have made even more money if he had just invested in index funds. The AP says that, if Trump had invested in an index fund in 1988, his net worth would be as much as $13 billion.

The S&P 500 has grown 1,336% since 1988.

Other billionaires’ net worths have beaten the stock market’s growth in that time. Bill Gates, for example, saw his grow increase 7,173% since 1988 to $80 billion. Warren Buffet’s wealth grew 2,612% in the same time period, to $67.8 billion.

_________

He should have dumped the money in the market and played squash (or bridge or donkey kong) all day. And this includes the effect of the whipsaws of 2000 and 2008.

He's such an asshat.

express a different view, then, watch out, here comes the PERSONAL attack..no back and forth in a conversation...the inability to move beyond the "it's all about me"....my opinion is the only one that matters.... to hide his ignorance, he attacks....

My experience was that whatever they were saying was more important than what anyone else had to say. It is like someone turned on a switch and they seemed incapable of turning it off.

He has claimed that he hasn't changed much since he was a small child and that is apparent in his behavior - a spoiled, willful child.

Iluvtennis, I'm so glad that you've shared this passage from Fire and Fury.

I would have posted this myself except I was unaware that we were allowed to do this. I'm reading the book right now and so far I've seen several things I would have liked to share and discuss on DU.

Now that I know it's allowed on here I will also post a small passage or two, just as you have. Of course it would be a few paragraphs or maybe one page. Thanks!

not being able to comprehend Powerpoint presentations ! diagrams??

There's a piece in the book that talks about Gen Mattis and how he came in with a war approach diagram and Trump didn't get it - said the general was BORING and wanted him fired. Then changed his mind when he heard others liked him - but made aids promise to never set up a meeting with him again.

span of a gnat, doesn't surprise me he would call the General's powerpoint boring. Remember,Trump knows everything , so if you come with something he doesn't know, it's insignificant and boring in his little mind.
