If Melania divorces Trump she will be entitled to full disclosure of all finances

Even if there is a so-called airtight pre-nup, the pre-nup is only valid if there was full financial disclosure at the outset. Her lawyers would be able to test that disclosure through discovery.

Explains why Trump is paying so much money out to girlfriends. He is terrified of financial disclosures.

Although I enjoy seeing him squirm, we have a practical reason to push for exposure of marital infidelity. Please no more "it's not our business." This man is destroying people's lives. Any weapon at hand will do.

If she leaves him, they will come to a quick settlement and Trump will say he kicked her out. He only pretends never to settle, when it's in his interest, he settles.

There might be a statute of limitations in NY for fraud or for challenging a pre-nup. Second wife had her own affair going on so she might not have been in a strong position to challenge. New York is still a fault-based jurisdiction. Don't know about D.C. law.

Don't assume that the statue of limitations started running when she signed the pre-nuptial.

Adultery is definitely legal cause for a divorce. I don't understand why you bring up New York is still a fault-based jurisdiction.

Effect on prior divorces. Those were in NY. I surmised that his second wife was in a bad position because of infidelity and NY can consider her fault in the marriage. As opposed to Melania who MAY not be guilty of infidelity and might have the upper hand.

Thank you for info on when statute begins to run. I guess in divorce law there is no Statute of Repose even for fraud? Not my area.

Her knowledge of his infidelity in a prior marriage does not constitute fault on her part.

"her knowledge?" Melania's knowledge? correct ... Melania's knowledge of someone else's infidelity in a prior marriage has nothing to do with HER divorce. I didn't say that it did.

I was responding to a prior post ... who asked about the prior divorces. I made a comment that the SECOND wife during the SECOND DIVORCE might have been in a bad situation altogether because of the SECOND WIFE's infidelity. The Second Wife may not have been in as strong a bargaining position as is MELANIA (third wife) who has better bargaining position in THIRD MARRIAGE because she (presumably) has not cheated in the THIRD MARRIAGE (rumors notwithstanding).

If you are going to attack my statement, maybe it's better if I re-state it more clearly.

According to the various tabloids at the time, Marla was found inflagrante delicto at Mar-a-lago with another guy. Trump sued her for divorce in 1997 as a result. (It took several years before it was finalized, in part because she challenged her pre-nup.)

Malaria knew about the affairs and did nothing. The only reason she may be upset now is that now everyone knows and it publically humiliates her. She will weather the storm.

Trump has been through this enough that the prenup he had Melania sign is ironclad and it doesn't matter if he's been unfaithful.

Melania is a little lamb to Trump and he probably has her terrorized to the point of fearing for her life or the lives of her family back home. She'll live separately from him and try to raise their child. She's collateral damage to Trump, he could care less if she lives or not.

Doubt it would happen while he is in the White House.

Also, how would it affect Barron's prospects? That would be a major consideration for her.
