The racial component to gun regulation

Yes, there's a racial component to the resistance for tougher gun regulations. The race of the potential perpetrators. If stronger, tougher gun laws were passed, the people getting arrested/jailed the most would be White males, as that group has the most guns and would be in violation of new laws.

Why do I say that? Look at the drug war. The drug war violates several constitutional principles, Search and Seizure, Right to a counsel, etc. , but the public has no problem with it. Why? Because the majority of people arrested/convicted are Black.

It's amazing how people love to cite the constitution as if its the Bible, but totally ignore it when it comes to drugs.

They use the Constitution to get their way, but they ignore it when it would protect Black people, or Hispanic people, or anybody else who is not in one of their tribes. Or when it would get in their way if followed, as when they denied President Obama his Constitutionally guaranteed right to appoint a Justice of the Supreme Court about a year before his term in office would end. Or, for that matter, when they denied him his Constitutionally guaranteed right to appoint federal judges. It seems to me that they deliberately stalled on most of his appointments so they could push a Republican President into office after him to stuff these offices with right-wingers? McConnell's attitude at that time, looking back, suggests that McConnell already knew the fix was in.

Your post is well intentioned but you probably need to research that instead of putting out negative stereotypes.

Even though African Americans don't have the same usage rates.

while AAs are arrested.

And what about all the meth busts. Those are mostly all whites.

And most large quantity bust aren't AA.

The negative stereotyping that African Americans make up most drug addicts, which your post implies, IMO, should not be perpetrated since we know other influencing factors are involved.

Especially your own statement that AA usage rates are not the same.

You hit the nail on the head, pointing out the blatant hypocrisy.

I say, No more talk, No more legislation. Round up the militant, radical, degenerate racist/white supremacist groups wholesale and imprison them. These people have to be treated like the criminals they are. It's time for the state to start bashing heads. Take the goddamn gloves off.
