Best answer to Gov. Scott's demand Wray be fired:

Adam Weinstein

First of all, he can probably explain why the tip was problematic and the reason(s) they didn't act.

More importantly, Scott is politicking and trying to make hay from the shooting. He's pond scum and this will backfire because of his lax record on gun control.

Aloha, Cha.

33. Because Scott is a tool of the NRA. "Earned" an A+ rating.

Feb 2018

Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Rick Scott for reelection as Governor of Florida.

Based on his leadership on Second Amendment issues, Governor Scott has earned an “A+” rating from the NRA-PVF in the 2014 general election. An “A+” is the highest possible rating and is reserved for elected officials with an excellent public record on critical NRA issues who have also made a vigorous effort to promote and defend the Second Amendment.

“Rick Scott has an unmatched record of support for the Second Amendment in Florida,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “Rick has signed more pro-gun bills into law in one term than any other governor in Florida history. Law-abiding gun owners in Florida have a true friend in Rick Scott.”

In addition to the many bills Governor Scott personally signed into law, he also supports Florida’s “Castle Doctrine” law and the hard-fought parking lot law. He respects and supports Florida’s unique hunting heritage and recognizes it is a valuable tool for wildlife management and conservation. Governor Scott rejects expanded licensing and registration schemes, and so-called “universal background checks.”

Considering Trump ordered that only Muslims can be considered domestic terrorists, it certainly sounds like the FBI followed Trump administration policy.

Gov. Rick Scott of Florida said the bureau’s failure to act on the tip was “unacceptable” and called for the bureau’s director, Christopher A. Wray, to resign. “Seventeen innocent people are dead and acknowledging a mistake isn’t going to cut it,” Mr. Scott said in a statement. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida also asked for Congress to investigate.

Mr. Wray said in a statement that he was “committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public.”

The F.B.I.’s admission opened up a new avenue of attack by conservatives who have questioned the impartiality of the bureau in its investigation into Russian intervention in the 2016 election.
