1. Not to defend the Trumps (Melania is grinning like a fool too) but

EVERYONE in that photo - including the victim and presumably the victim's family, and the doctor - is grinning ear to ear. When I saw the photo, I wondered if they were Trump fans because I could not imagine even allowing that piece of shit in the room if that were my child!

4. It's a lack of situational awareness. That others are smiling is because he set it up that way.

I noticed one sheriff who maintained a straight face appropriate for the situation. This shitPres exploited a tragic, highly stressful situation -- just like he did when he was laughing and throwing paper towels at hurricane victims.

The men and women in this video smiled, sure. But, the pressure to smile when the shitPres is setting up a group picture is strong. It's similar to how girls/women might smile or giggle when they are embarrassed by a powerful male boss. We smile, but it doesn't mean we're happy.

Plus, I can't imagine that the community appreciated these pictures. I feel sorry for all these people. He has no heart!

3. I'm a therapist. I've worked as an investigator

for child protective services. I've heard and seen some shit but I have no idea how Obama met with the parents at Sandy Hook. That took a strength I'm not at all certain I have.

5. tRump was all smiles because he thought it was ALL ABOUT HIM.

He figured they were thrilled that he came to see them.
Melania was smiling because that’s what Dickhead wanted her to do. Sometimes she rebels, but not this time. She smiled and squinted right on cue.

I have no idea why that family was all grins and giggles. Maybe they were relieved that their daughter was not mortally wounded? Maybe they were big tRump supporters? Or maybe they were just caught up being in the spotlight and were not sure what to do. Who knows?

But tRump was just enjoying being in the limelight and no one was asking about Mueller or Russia for a little while.
