Things would get more difficult and drawn out if what cannot happen did. New strategies would be activated, new generals would be deployed, and no doubt the anxiety level of some observers would increase.

get control of at least one house of congress and a good number of state governorships and/or legislative houses in the midterms, for a bit anyway. We're going through a lot for a long time now, and the fight will continue for some time. He seemed a bit shaken and had to go for the water at times. He also seemed to welcome the pause that the film excerpt of him gave. Loesch, on the other hand, seemed more determined. I do think the NRA is on the defensive instead of their usual offensive stance.
