(9,426 posts)sad they have to even have this conversation. The republicans who are supported by the NRA do not have to worry about their gatherings being interrupted by gunfire, since they are all held in NO GUN ZONES.

(8,291 posts)are the most arrogant and self righteous citizens in the world - or most of the illiterate that are among us are. I speak from experience. I thought I knew what the world was like when I was 20 yrs old and finished high school in 1980. And I was so stupid. I continued to learn every day and listen to people. I finished my degree when I was 45 working full time and going to school full time. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and yet, just getting that degree didn't teach me about life. Living abroad did. I saw how other governments in Europe worked, I married a Brit and realized that there is a whole other world out there that out performs Americans every single day. I hate being this cynical but I can't help it. Reading the right wing posts every day has made me feel hopeless that these idiots will take over the country for good. We have to stand up and demand better. I am so inspired by these young people from Parkland. Fuck the GOP.

(12,904 posts)It is our DUTY to support these young people! Failure to do so is a failure for all Americans. Only by working together can we achieve our goals.
They are going to change the world. We can help them.
This can happen.
