We need to put a stop to that nonsense. Handing a placebo receipt to voters does NOT make an auditable result.

In my precinct, we fill in a paper ballot, which is optically scanned. In theory (if the laws are ever corrected to make it practical), that's auditable. The law should require very stringent storage, bi- (or multi-) party observers, and automatic audits of every single election. But at least we have paper.
