I get tired of the double standards and hypocrisy. Why is Trump allowed to skip work, week after week?
This makes me angry.

(63,221 posts)The people killed and made homeless are OTHER PEOPLE. Trump doesn't care about other people, only himself. It's no surprise. He is the antithesis of what a strong leader should be.

(67,084 posts)And, he gets a free ride on taxpayer's money. The US is being ruled by a gangster family. I still think many citizens are still oblivious to WTF is going on. And most just can't seem to comprehend how much the republican party has changed. The republican party of today is a POX on America.

(67,084 posts)history, and probably do not even know how government works. America is also less than 4% of the worlds' population and may be dumped to a far back seat as the rest of the world takes over.
Just the fact an ass like Trump is elected is very telling, and the creeps he surrounds himself with. Just the fact that congress sits on their ass is very telling. America is not a very impressive country anymore, and the world view of America sinks further all the time. Also, in world rankings, America continues to fall/fail.
America had a good run of it after WWII, but that is all ancient history now. I am hopeful America will eventually get back on the right track.

He's alone with no friends. He's scared and he's miserable. He's an asshole. It's going to get worse.

(61,533 posts)He's gone to one of his personal properties almost every weekend since he was elected. We the taxpayers pay his companies' exorbitant charges to house and feed his huge entourage, money that goes into his pocket.
It's disgusting. It's illegal - in violation of the emoluments clause - and the media says nothing.
But Obama's tan suit.

These vipers have shown their heartless soulless attitude towards real people for YEARS and this pathetic administration is in the middle of a perfect storm of indecency, misanthropic greed, hate, reality show media idiocy and total disregard for their fellow human beings. They will take down as many innocent citizens as they can before they are stopped.
Personally the Cretin is a total wretch of a human being. Always. Always has been always will be and we are stuck with him until someone finds the right means and guts to take him out of office.

Eventually maybe we'll elect another Democratic president and the media will go right back to work whining about Dijon mustard and tan suits.

(8,317 posts)We have had no electricity for 26 hours. It is 46 degrees in my house and 39 degrees in my refrigerator. We are close to having to throw out and replace a lot of food. The fear is that if we open the door to cook the food, than we lose everything we dont cook as the temp will go above 40 which is the point we have to throw everything out.
I wish I could go to Marlargo too.
Drove to McDonalds for coffee and breakfast sandwiches, to warm up and to recharge the phone.
It is supposed to be about 40 so at least there is no worry about the pipes freezing. Hopefully the electricity comes back on before the food in the freezer thaws, then things get really expensive

(8,317 posts)As many are with out power there is a long wait even for fast food. On the bright side, the 5 guys opened and my teenager and friends are on the way there. He will probably be out of the house for a good hour or two, so I can walk the dog and clean up a little.
Uncomfortable and inconvenient about sums it up. It is actually warmer outside so we have windows and the door on the side of the house that the wind is NOT coming from. Opened the sliding door and the wind blew an entire stack of napkins all over.

(987 posts)Neither Trump or his children know how to work. Trump was given money and if he took one meeting per day that was it. Maybe hobnob at parties...stand in front of a camera and pontificate (WHY did the media always ask his opinion about political things??). But he NEVER had to go to the office from 9 to 5....much less 8am to 9pm like at my small business.
As we know his schedule is that of a retired billionaire. Our presidents have always aged before our eyes....I knew this one wouldn't let his hair or eyebrows go gray....but hell, he's barely breaking a sweat....AND he doesn't give a shit or worry like those that came before him.
