(6,839 posts)I don't think it was necessarily RU trolls.
Quite a few reputable DUers believed him to be a conspiracy theorist because of his association with Louise Mensch.

(6,288 posts)Mensch, Taylor, Alt Spicer Mic, Tea Pain & the others that banded together as 20 Committee & Team Patriot.
They were doxxed, threatened, had their families & kids threatened by the same people who, even here today STILL believe the hype to silence them by the RW & Trump/Putin trolls.
These people have NEVER done anything but relentlessly worked to tell us of the bigger pic behind the 2016 coup against America.
I will stand by & support every one of them for the shit they put up with for 2 solid years.
They brought us the truth while MSM sat in a unified silence.
We will not ever forget how we were treated in 2015/16 & by whom.
They were either with the free society of the United States of America, or they were with Putin & Trump's Billionare Boys Club.
They all "showed us who they were".
Thanks

I follow Claude on Twitter and have enjoyed watching him plan and deliver on these great billboards.
Your post was informative. Thank you!

(6,288 posts)However this group is made up of some brilliant people & when the going got dangerous, they set out to track where the messages began.
Russia & Ukraine troll farms & those in the US that continually fed their mission to silence any truth of the coup.
It was pretty unbelievable to see the lengths & channels they took to place Putin's billionare boys club in our WH.
The endless fight against it all by this twitter group, their sources around the world & their mission to tell the truth was amazing.
And success shows us that THESE people are STILL THERE. And the usurpers were stopped.
And here we have Claude Taylor, a serious victim of the hateful, emerges to do something so big & so effective for this nation, without backing down in fear of those who were relentless to shut him up.
That's what true patriotism is about.
We must all do what we can 🍃

(2,157 posts)I have followed that group as well. (Plus a few others like Rick Wilson, Counterchekist and Eric Garland) They have been on top of all this for months. When I see something like Josh Marshall posting 'It's worse than we thought' I kind of laugh, because it's all been discussed long ago. All of the Russian mob connections, money laundering etc. I understand that every detail that is posted in those tweets might not pan out, but overall they bat 1000% so far.
I don't care if they come across as conspiracy theorists or goofy or any of the other things I've seen them accused of. I do see that their sources are good and their info pans out in the end, maybe months down the line. That's good enough for me.

For awhile there it got really bad with all the tweeting and retweeting back and forth, "I overheard a conversation on the subway about how tRump plans to bomb British Parliament." It was like the telephone game, but you never knew who the first two or three players were.

Previously good organizations like churches and the NRA have been occupied by the far right and foreign interests. This must somehow end.
What we should mail them is a copy of one of the obits for one of the children killed in Florida or elsewhere.

Thoughts & prayers to you too, & oh ya,

(4,033 posts)It seems like there is plenty of evidence that Russia funneled money to the NRA, which then spent about $50 million to defeat Trump. Sounds like you ought to investigate and nail their asses to the barn door as well for not registering as a foreign lobbying organization per FARA!
