This is the unfortunate statistical reality. The likelihood of an active shooter at any particular school of the literally 10's of thousands of schools in this country is so low, so VERY low, that other accidents are more likely. Putting a gun in all of these schools (or even some significant number) makes even UNlikely events MORE likely than an active shooter. Even accidents with numbers like one in 10,000 become MORE likely than an active shooter. And this is before you factor in things like panic, mistaken identity, or friendly fire that can occur even IF there is an active shooter situation.
