Do you actually realize how fundamental this change is?
People without guns are marching to state that they too, as disarmed people going about their
lives, also have rights. For the longest while that has not been the case. Those without arms were afraid to protest, went silently through the months, hoping nothing untoward happened. Living in fear is no freedom. It is often not even civil. It is no way to experience life in the fullest.

1. the rights of the "many" ignored for the rights of the "few"
Well, we shall see... we shall see...
Those absolutist, immovable gun advocates who refuse ANY level of compromise--your time is over. The second amendment is not without limits and it does NOT overrule all other rights. |

11. That's been my complaint for a LONG time. What about MY rights?
Are MY rights to live without the menace of this wanton gun epidemic not important? Gunners' rights outweigh mine? And if that's the case, somebody better explain why to me.
I'm sick and tired of being a hostage to the gunners. And I'm not afraid of them. I'm not afraid of the NRA. They're nothing but a bunch of spoiled, scared little paranoiacs. I'll be 65 this year. I've lived my life. I've done a bunch of cool things. I've had a great career (actually, a series of them), a good long sustaining successful marriage and wonderful children. If they come gunning for me, I don't even care anymore. And I'm not afraid to fall on top of somebody else and take a bullet to keep THEM from being shot. If it ends, it ends. And then I can go have fun playing in the stars with Stephen Hawking. |

as they try to change their world!"

9. That's brilliant, Ally! I would bet the estate of Mr. Bowie would gladly lend the rights
to this important cause.

10. The optics of these protests are stunning when you consider what we have been seeing.
Thousands of young Americans marching in peaceful protest to demand sensible reforms.
As opposed to: Dozens of burly, middle aged white guys, armed to the teeth, marching...okay waddling.......in support of being able to wander around with guns while scowling. |

14. I do
The children of Gen Xers take their seat at our great national table. The Boomer influence is beginning to wane.
