Honestly, I don't give a damn. Sometimes I have to shake my head at some of our priorities here. I wonder how we claim to be inclusive here, yet some of us seem to lack the understanding that English may not be a poster's first language (not saying this applies to the OP just a general observation).

But Ms. Gonzalez has displayed the sort of mettle that will prevail regardless of whether or not "things go her way."

She, and many of these other young people-- Naomi Wader, David Hogg, Kassidy Fisher to name only a few-- are truly going to make America great. This greatness will be moral and compassionate and inclusive. It wil not be the sham of strength that Trump and his ilk interpret as "greatness."

I'm glad she is out there now. Hers is a powerful voice that will not be ignored. That is why the NRA and Fox Noise are mounting the campaign against her and the movement even as the big march is going on. This time, their "now is not the time" didn't hold back the tide. This was once too many, and now IS the time. In 2020, almost all those young people out there who won't be eligible to vote this November WILL be eligible to vote in 2 years. Will they vote? Oh, yeah. First time eligible? They'll vote. And they will remember which incumbent said what. This generation has their every word saved on their smart phones. All the NRA's money and all the NRA's bought politicians can't reverse that.

Emma Gonzalez is so badass.

At first, I wasn't sure why she went silent. But after I heard a timer go off at her podium, I knew. Then she confirmed that the time she was up at the podium, including her short speech, totalled 6 minutes 20 seconds--the time it took the shooter to slaughter 17 of her classmates and forever change the rest. So powerful.
