Its the number one trend on social media, the top trend on twitter, people
are expecting massive things from it, and its going to produce nothing, this
is what happens when you hype things are, her lawyer's tweet today will
do nothing to damper the hype.
The right wing media is going to have a field after this.
People seem to think there are going to a massive amount of evidence produce
that will take down trumpy.
Heck the public on twitter are talking about a Bombshell of evidence.
We need Mueller more than ever, I hope hes close, I hope he is ready to indict,
because tonight changes nothing.

(3,515 posts)It's not what will be said or not said in the video that matters. It's the simple fact that someone is saying "The emperor has no clothes" to Trump, and we are all watching while that is being said.
I think a lot of people don't understand the store of The Emperor Has No Clothes.
It's going to be hilarious to watch Trump, this very vain, controlling, narcissistic, fool, get told that he is really only a very weak human being. Too weak to withstand the "beauty" of a porn star like Stormy Daniels (even though he is married to a far more beautiful woman who is also the mother of his child).
This is not about sex. Watching the 60 Minutes show is not about sex.
It's about telling Trump in the only language he and his worshipers understand that we know just how weak and careless and egotistical he really is beneath all the bluff.
Someone who sleeps with porn stars, etc. (who knows who else) is president of the United States??
It's one thing to have an affair with someone. It's quite another to sleep with a porn star when you are married and have an infant child. It's about how depraved Trump is, what a fool he is.

(17,984 posts)What I'm really against is making Stormy out to be something other than she is. She is selling this interview. She's already said this interview is just the beginning. That is exactly what a strip tease amounts to: show a little and get people throwing money; expose a little more and get some more money, and so on. She is not a good person, and I dislike the performance aspect of this.

Until indictment, ridicule is the best weapon we who are not Mueller have against the pernicious Trump.
I think everyone's going to be talking about it. "Did she really say that? Tighty-whities?"

(26,333 posts)It was after a particularly gripping episode of the soap, Coronation Street. After the show, so many people either flipped on tea kettles, it affected the power grid. I watch the show, broadcast out of Canada, and it was a damn fine bit of story telling and acting.
March 9, 2011
The Coronation Street serial killing double bill generated a huge power surge across Britain last night.
As millions of viewers digested the latest murder on the famous cobbled streets of Wetherfield a surge measuring 1,500 mega-watts swept the nation.
A spokesman for the National Grid said: Obviously, there was a huge audience which meant at the end of the programme people were getting up, turning lights on, going to the toilet, opening fridge doors and boiling kettles.
There was a surge of demand for power for anything between three to four minutes to seven to eight minutes. Its that concentrated period when a programme finishes and millions of people around the country go and do something else other than watching Coronation Street.

(526 posts)That serves two purposes:
1) Depresses the potential conservative vote. Stormy Daniels has a chance to do that with social conservative married women.
2) Energizes the potential liberal vote. Stormy Daniels has a chance to do that with just about everybody who is centrist and left of center.
Therefore I'm happy the interview is being televised. The Nielsen Ratings will tell the tale when they're released Monday afternoon.
We have elections these days being decided by coin flips and by less than a thousand votes. Changing one mind can make a difference.
Its not either Mueller OR Stormy. Its Mueller PLUS Stormy plus hundreds of other issues and scandals and bad decisions.

(59,511 posts)His base is likely split between people who don't care and those who think it is cool. This is as unlikely to bring him down as Clinton stuff did to him.
The serious charges are if he agreed to help Russia with sanctions in exchange for help in the election. If that can be proven - even if it can't be proven their actions helped him, we would be at a Constitutional crisis.

We need him weakened if we are going to win back Congress. This can help.
Mueller is our only hope regarding the Russian attacks and we need to get the investigative bodies of Congress functioning again.
The Russian hydra is massive and runs through the Middle East, in some respect. Anything that helps us win back Congress is a good thing, IMO.

(59,511 posts).. added to disgusting comments to Howard Stern about watching the Paris Hilton sex tape (though he knew her as a young girl) and his comments about his daughter Ivanka and many other really disgusting things. They voted for him in spite of his failings as a human.
I think we need to defeat him on the issues. Domestically, he needs to actually make life better in the rust belt -- and that is not easy. He actually might make his rural states worse as they may bear the greatest burden of his trade war. Agricultural sales will be hit, while many products they buy will be higher due to our tariffs. Many already see through the tax bill. It was pretty obvious that it did not work in PA. Internationally, we are destroying the alliances with our allies. The middle east is incredibly scary especially with Bolton. (I absolutely disagree with those who think that a heightened risk for war with Iran or actually being at war with them will help Trump. This is not 2002 or 2004, soon after 911 and after a long period with no major war. One of the arguments that Trump sickenly used was that he was against these wars and that HRC would be more hawkish.)
I think our biggest asset might be the TOTAL CHAOS evident in the WH. I suspect that it scares people -- and they should be able to see that with Republican control of Congress there are no checks on Trump. Even without Trump, many have noted that the country often wants divided government - especially after major change.

(33,643 posts)She ain't gonna say much that's definitive, other than 'teasers' to lead people to the book she's going to write IF she can get out of the NDA.
She may show the physical documents/agreements about the 130K deal, which I think have been available but not everyone in a 60 mins audience is aware of that.
We probably will get some 'clothed' pics in hotel room(s) of the two of them apparently alone together, to establish 'likelihood' that her 'affair' story is true.
We might get her describing threatening behavior from Trumps goons. However without proof, it's very easy for Trump to dispute it saying she has ulterior motives (and honestly, she might) as that's a potential ticket OUT of the agreement and hence to her being able to further monetize her story. So that would mean squat, basically, w/o 'proof'.
Some kind of hint that she either had a kid by him, or better yet, he bribed or forced her to get an abortion ... would probably be BEST for 'our side'. But I really think that at most, that sort of thing would be 'hinted at', along with a 'you might read about something like that in the book ... if I'm allowed to write it, but I cannot confirm or deny it at this time' ... type of deal.
Or MAYBE we'd get to see like the first 10 secs of a pron vid they filmed together, we'd see them still dressed, but it'd be just enough for DT to 'know' ... that she has a copy of him doing some embarrassing stuff, i.e. that will NOT play well with the base ... for example, say, submission or diaper play? There ARE some lines that the base would not be okay with him crossing 'sexually', believe me. She wouldn't mention that part though, other than maybe saying 'it got pretty dirty later, Anderson!'.
That's my prediction for tonight. REALLY doubt we get 'blockbuster' news out of this thing, only hints that their might be 'big news to follow'.

(9,213 posts)Both literally and figuratively...we are the figuratively. Of course trump did all this horrible stuff but stormy knows as soon as she tells all nobody will want to interview her anymore and she'll have to go work at taco Bell or something. For all we know she's in on it with Trump because the more people focus on this and draw this out the less they are talking about Russia, and Trump is obsessed with bragging about his sexual conquests,so you know he's loving this attention.

(2,541 posts)People are pinning a lot of expectations on this interview and they are going to be disappointed. The same thing is happening with Mueller. I remember people thinking Patrick Fitzgerald was going to bring justice to the bush admin and that turned out not to be the case... Never say never. Mueller could indict trump but I seriously doubt it. Unindicted co-conspirator maybe but still that is not going to fix the trump problem. It is going to take congress and for congress to do anything it is going to take Dems winning back control of congress in Nov.
