The real victim here is Barron - that poor young man

Last edited Sun Mar 25, 2018, 10:06 PM - Edit history (1)

I mean how gross - how gross to hear about your dad getting spanked by an adult film actress while your mom was pregnant with you (or had just had you), having an affair with a playmate, etc.

I mean Melania knew what she was getting into when she married the ickster.

But for a boy to hear about how awful his dad treated him mom, how little regard his dad had for him, to hear that his dad compared his sex partners to his half-sister (just eww) - and the world knows all of it.

But all trump cares about is how the interview makes him look to his fans -not the impact on his son. Does he even remember he has a young son? Could he pick him out of a line-up of several boys Barron's age?

On edit: I am talking about the sex scandal specifically, not the whole reign of orange terror. Obviously the ICE families torn apart are just one example of true victims.

I was just thinking that tonight all trump cares about is himself, while this poor kid has to hear all this gross stuff. And yes his mom was a nude model, etc etc. I can still feel that tonight the victim here is a kid.

Americans who will have to fix the mess spanky mc tinyhands and the GOP are making of our country. Barron will likely turn out like the rest of them or not, but he will be (well) taken care of. The damage we are suffering is more important than one more rich spoiled child finding out his parent is an asshole.

Rich or not, he didn't ask for this.

Trump didn't happen overnight - our politicians have been corrupt for years, we have to take ownership for our part.

Yes, the effects are long ranging and horrific for many who have no options, no say, no rights, no resources.

The whole trump adulterous sex crap doesn't hurt his base, him, Melania, Stormy, Karen - it really hurts a kid.

Yes, the whole trump presidency is a fucking disaster that will take generations to fix (all those judge appointments). But tonight I just think of the poor kid who has to see his family's dirty laundry all over the news again.

Judging from his other kids he will be OK compared to the majority of US citizens. His older spawn grew up knowing he wasn't around much (unless you were his favorite daughter) and treated women like shit as well as being a fake, liar, cheater and egomaniac. They all adore him now and even do his dirty work for him. A lot of people have problems and not due to their own choices...like the millions who will die early and without any savings due to the fucking moron. As far as his children's futures are concerned I couldn't care less.

In the aftermath of the Russian revolution, the young children of the bourgeoisie were kicked into the street to starve; to touch them, to feed them, would make you a class enemy. People spat on them because of their families.

And people refer to the OT God as implacable.

Bitterness and the thirst for revenge strips humanity away from people, but leaves them with the absolute certainty that they are the most humane of people.

On the other hand, it also makes us weak arbiters of the truth. We presume that since Daniels is saying bad things about the person we want to hear bad things about, she speaks only absolute truth. It's worthwhile to remember that she, too, finds money a worthy motive for her actions. If she wasn't being paid for this interview, she wouldn't have given it; if the interview were dreck and produced low ratings, her net worth would decline. People like to fallaciously say, "Follow the money". It is not always a fallacy in producing a hypothesis nor in determining motive, it's just not reliable.

Marry a foreigner and move her child out of the country, where he won't have to hear about his father's perversions day in and day out, and can have some chance of growing up without being scarred for life. Jackie O. wanted her children out of the limelight after Kennedy was assassinated.

In her case, she merely wanted to shield them from the media spotlight. The case for Melania to take Barron out of the U.S. is far stronger -- to keep him away from Trump and also non-stop negative media exposure, and give him a chance to just be a kid.

Is having to deal with some icky ass shit because of who his parents are in public manner that I doubt few of us at his age would want to deal with. Melania can play the victim of the cheated on spouse, trump is worried about his approval ratings - in the meantime this kid has to hear about how his dad liked to cheat on his mom with women who looked like his sister.

I'm saying in this PARTICULAR instance - not in the world or even just our country - the instance of the stormy interview and rehashing - this kid is the one who of all the parties involved, has it the worst.

And you bet when all the talk about threats came out, I felt for her.

Maybe it's because when I was Barron's age my mom had been married and divorced 4x in a small town where you didn't need 60 minutes for everyone to know everyone's business. I knew way too much about the sex life of one of my parents. And all either of my parents cared about was themselves and what others thought of them. So I may not have been a super rich kid, and this was the LEAST abusive thing I went through, but it was such a gross feeling.

Maybe he doesn't care, maybe he is an asshole kid, maybe he loves it...who the fuck knows. All I am saying is while watching the stormy coverage, I keep thinking of just how icky it feels when everyone knows this kind of shit about your family.

I felt the same way for Chelsea...but she had ..well still has...a mom who was fiercely protective of her. She had love from her folks, I bet Stormy loves her kid and has prepared her for this....I just don't get that vibe from Melania.
