CNN had on a group of pro Trump women. They basically said Trump was sent by God and those that disparage him are liars.

(101,853 posts)I just don't see how they can believe God is using David Dennison. If you look at the culture as a river that we all are drinking from Trump is polluting it with his shenanigans, bullying, aberrant behavior, and criminalities.

(10,481 posts)That hates gays, abortions, Hispanics, pretty much any person of color actually...Muslims.
Okay just to put it as simple as possible. Their God hates anybody that isn't like them. It's going to be funny when they die and realize that God isn't the way they interpreted him.

(4,407 posts)that will protect the privilege of an all powerful white man. This has nothing to do with God and everything to do with race politics.

And God wanted a bircher like Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. They just know it.

(53,214 posts)or gathering, most of the women have blonde hair and often wear red. It is like a uniform. It is so predictable. Individuality in the republican party is practically nonexistent.

(10,481 posts)That's really all I can think of

When Trump spoke a rallies, I usually looked at the people behind him, trying to figure out who the hell they were. I saw a lot of well dressed blonde women, really hard to tell one from another. So creepy.

(10,481 posts)It's like that movie Village of the Damned all the kids have white hair.

(10,481 posts)And how the women change when they date them... it's quite terrifying and possibly true

(53,214 posts)in real life unfortunately, but I've seen it go the other way occasionally. My ex husband was quite liberal when we were together many years ago, but he is VERY conservative today.

(10,481 posts)When he was with my mom, he was a California blue blood. Then he became a hardcore racist, cheating conservative. I'm sure I have a half sibling somewhere in the world when he was overseas during his deployment in the 80's.

(53,214 posts)My ex is a very intelligent, well read man, so I was shocked when I found out he was watching Fox News. Perhaps it was because he was at a vulnerable time in his life and Fox filled some need.

(10,481 posts)I live in Amarillo, TX. My critter is Mac Thornberry. A dominate conservative area in Texas sadly. So here? lol dating is just...yeah.
PatSeg
(53,214 posts)You have my sympathy. I lived in Texas for about a year a long time ago, a rather bleak experience for sure. I have noticed a lot of businesses moving to Texas though and bringing a lot of new blood to the state, so there is hope.

Amarillo is in the Panhandle area. Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio are all around 300 to 600 miles from me. I don't plan on dating anybody anyway
PatSeg
(53,214 posts)Kind of just passing through I believe and quite unimpressed. We did end up living in a small town east of Houston. Finding someone to actually talk with was quite a challenge, but it wasn't as bleak as Amarillo. Texas is such a big and diverse state though. Some places were more amiable than others.

(10,481 posts)Everything fun to do in this state is all down south. Amarillo is more of a stopping town because it's dead smack on Interstate 40. The only real thing to do here is just eat and sleep.
It seemed to resemble Oklahoma more than Texas. I think the only reason people ended up in Oklahoma is some pioneers' wagons broke down or the horse died. "Well, this place is as good as any. Might as well set roots here."

(10,481 posts)My grandmothers family was originally heading to California. But her brothers go sick along the way and stopped in Amarillo. Roots settled here.
Thought if they didn't stop, I wouldn't have been born. But I wonder how life in California would have been for them.
PatSeg
(53,214 posts)You can see how it can happen. I can't imagine the Panhandle being a destination spot, more like an accidental relocation.
