(98,883 posts)I am hoping that most of the 17 million viewers were just watching out of curiosity, but only time will tell

(5,209 posts)loudmouth TV sitcom star. So Churchill-like. What a statesman. Maybe she'll be invited to the White House and can stand in front of Hillary's picture with Ted Nugent and Sarah baby.

(5,209 posts)I do not like those like him. Im curious to see if those ratings are as high next week or if people were just curious. Once nicer weather is here I do not want to be in front of a tv.

(42,770 posts)Voted for him. In the show she doesn't idolize him..it was more apologetic like ..."Jacky ..I didn't know...we had to try something..we almost lost our house.". I live in a red state and there are people like that. They are actually the starter ones. Just help us and we will turn a blind eye to your criminal and amoral behavior. Step up from the batshit crazies who accept his behavior.
Btw her sister is hysterical.."hello deplorable! "

(42,770 posts)Out if the Roseanne loop until just now. I watched it just because I saw tiny blurb about ratings smash...so went into it totally unbiased.

(6,500 posts)Which isn't a surprise, she's the title character. So her views, largely conservative, are given the marketing platform.
But it's an ensemble cast and there's a whole lot of diversity on it - just like the original show. It's not a big rah rah trump event. But it doesn't exclude conservative views (or heavily mock them in a way) like most sitcoms and the like do.
Most primetime entertainment is VERY liberal or semi-neutral.
