Melania is enjoying her vacation, and doesn't want to be bothered. She really doesn't know much about combating bullying, someone told her she had to pick a cause, so she chose one she was familiar with, since her hubby bullies her daily.

It smells to me like a tangent of their tactic of always accusing the other side of what they are doing, or are going to do. (like rig elections, or use fake news) The idea being that if the FLOTUS champions cyberbullying, and if there are charges against Trump or another Republican of doing so, it can be at least tempered with the exasperated faux outrage that...how could you ever accuse us of this when it is the honorable first lady's most important cause! It wouldn't work on DU veterans, but it can work on the blinder wearing deplorables. Especially if bolstered by Hannity or Rush. The old "I know you are but what am I?"

Does anyone know if she has done ANYTHING on this issue other than the first announcement?

Maybe it's their parents, or maybe it's teachers, I don't know. But I've known plenty of teenagers and these Parkland kids have an amazing ability to use the media. Their knowledge is well beyond their years.

If they are being coached it's not a bad thing, because the kids are getting the media attention that most of us could only dream of.

the heavy lifting. They are smart, articulate and know how to use social media. Don't forget, the Civil rights movement and the Vietnam War protests were heavily influenced by the involvement of young people. They really brought the energy.
