(15,200 posts)but I don't know why he won't work with this legislation. Doesn't he know how bad it will look when Cheetolini fires Mueller and the Congress does NOTHING?? And they will do nothing. Mitch is shoving through as many of the reactionary judges as he can before it all comes crashing down.

Reminds me of the old joke: What's the difference between a lawyer and a carp? One is a bottom-dwelling scum sucker. The other one is a fish.
Ba-dum-pshhhh!

(1,216 posts)But Rump has small balls and does not have the guts to fire Mueller. I think Sessions will be fired first.

(15,805 posts)But the GOP leadership is stalling and trying to downplay the need for any legislation, saying they dont really believe Trump will fire Mueller.
Maybe they can pass the bills retroactively?

(61,785 posts)My guess is that Thom is quite worried about what investigations might find and he wants Mueller to know he's helping protect him. Very helpful, Thom is being.

(18,014 posts)In all the time I've watched him, I've never seen crazy Thom get all bipartisan until this legislation with Chris Coons. Interesting. There's a lot more to this story than one Rethuglican finally seeing the light.

(111,111 posts)This is about our Country, Mitch. It is not about anyone's Party.
If that doesn't work, I would suggest a bucket of cold water poured over his head.
Anything to bring him out of his netherworld and back to the real world.

(366 posts)Tillis won his election by a very small margin. He knows that any swing towards the left is a death sentence for him. He has to hold the middle ground here.

(15,200 posts)I always thought he was one of the wacko-birds.
I remember when Rand Paul was elected and I thought it couldn't get any crazier than that! Then here came Thom Tillis, Joanie Ernst, sigh...
