President Donald Trump provoked Russia Wednesday morning on Twitter and threatened a missile attack against Syria, but then changed course less than an hour later with a conciliatory tweet.
The president challenged Russia with “smart” missiles and called Syrian leader Bashar Hafez al-Assad a “Gas Killing Animal,” but then abruptly changed his tune.
