REPEAL AND REPLACE - THE DAY AFTER THE BLUE TSUNAMI

Following the coming wave election in November 2018, the Democrats should put forward an aggressive program to restore the American middle class - much like the vaunted Contract On America back in 1994 that the CON's foisted on the unsuspecting public, only this time play for keeps and real action to benefit the majority of Americans.

ITEM 1 - REPEAL AND REPLACE the TAX CUTS AND JOB ACT OF 2017 - with "fair and balanced" tax cuts for the 0-80% of the population and, oops - tax increases for the upper 5%.

ITEM 2 - SECURE SOCIAL SECURITY (no cap on taxable earnings - and all the corporate exec "deferred" comp is taxed at time of grant)

ITEM 3 - SECURE MEDICARE

ITEM 4 - SINGLE PAYER HEALTH SYSTEM

Let's give Paul Ryan a great parting gift to "his legacy". REPEAL AND REPLACE - only this time for real.

but the 2020 crowd will need to show they are not just the typical republithug, but actually bipartisan (ha, ha)

And they will be knowing what the first wave didn't wash out in 2018, the second one in 2020 - a presidential year - will. I think the Dems should dare the punks. (or at least have Clint talk to a chair again.)

Republicans that will have a hard reelection campaign in bold

Alabama Doug Jones Democratic
Alaska Dan Sullivan Republican - Mark Begich will beat him in a rematch after the 2018 Clown Show route.
Arkansas Tom Cotton Republican - his 15 minutes of fame are over much like Paul Ryan's
Colorado Cory Gardner Republican - state trending bluer by the day
Delaware Chris Coons Democratic
Georgia David Perdue Republican - Sonny Came Home (kudos to Shawn Colvin)
Idaho Jim Risch Republican
Illinois Dick Durbin Democratic
Iowa Joni Ernst Republican - the pig thing will have grown old on Iowans by 2020. Joni will be culled from the sounder of swine.
Kansas Pat Roberts Republican - What's Wrong with Kansas - nothing a ballot box can't cure. #TimesUP
Kentucky Mitch McConnell Republican - Turtle won't take to minority status after January 2019. He'll fold like the cheap tent he's always been.
Louisiana Bill Cassidy Republican
Maine Susan Collins Republican - Oh, Susannah, you went so far South, you can't find your way home up North.
Massachusetts Ed Markey Democratic
Michigan Gary Peters Democratic
Minnesota TBD
Montana Steve Daines Republican
Nebraska Ben Sasse Republican
NH Jeanne Shaheen Democratic
New Jersey Cory Booker Democratic
New Mexico Tom Udall Democratic
North Carolina Thom Tillis Republican - Another state moving like Colorado to blue, each and every day.
Oklahoma Jim Inhofe Republican
Oregon Jeff Merkley Democratic
Rhode Island Jack Reed Democratic
South Carolina Lindsey Graham Republican - Will retire with his permanent case of the vapors.
South Dakota Mike Rounds Republican
Tennessee Lamar Alexander Republican
Texas John Cornyn Republican
Virginia Mark Warner Democratic
West Virginia Shelley Capito Republican - Teacher power will finally help the Mountaineers with the Great Awakening.
Wyoming Mike Enzi Republican

Of course, we also need to repeal and replace Trump, Pence, McTurtle, Russiabacker, etc.

I often use the same name for Newt Gangrene's "Contract On America."
