A federal judicial nominee on Wednesday refused to say whether she agrees with the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision that ruled separate but equal schools are unconstitutional when grilled during her Senate confirmation hearing.
Do you believe that Brown v. Board of Education was correctly decided? Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) asked Trump judicial nominee Wendy Vitter.
Senator, I dont mean to be coy, Vitter responded, but I think I get into a difficult area when I start commenting on Supreme Court decisions, which are correctly decided and which I may disagree with.
My personal, political or religious views I would set aside, she continued, saying that if she were confirmed she would uphold the binding decision.

I bet she wouldn't be so coy about Plessy v. Fergusson.

(870 posts)Vitter was 100% behind anything the Racist Tea Party Promoted.... I remember his "promoting fear about ACA" and wrote comments on any article in local papers that address him and his position... the comments ended up "deleted".
I stopped writing on the Paper's website when they changed and required one to have to use a Facebook Log In to write commentary. They deleted the entire comment script and all the comments, when they changed over to require a facebook log in.
Before that, the local politicians and the Mayor at the time, followed my comments, I know this because they told me...
I make it my personal citizen business to know the local politicians...

Cabinet members, I guess there's been a few- Kelly, McMaster and I'm sure one other that's escaping my memory. However, all the rest have been absolute crap.

The truth is, she has no idea what the 'Brown vs Board of Education' case is. She's too ignorant to know that her answer exposes her ignorance.

WTF?
On Brown vs Topeka Board of Education?
So...this lady implies she wants segregated schools again. Sounds like I need to make a call to my Senators. Unless she's already been confirmed.
