House Speaker Paul Ryan has announced he will not run for re-election, which means Republicans will have to fill that void in order to keep their majority. USA TODAY
Paul Ryan will be out of his job as House speaker in November, and a Democrat running for his seat, Randy Bryce, already has an idea of a new career path for the Wisconsin Republican.
"Let's trade places, Paul Ryan. You can come work the iron, and I'll go to D.C.," Bryce said when announcing his campaign in June.
Now, Bryce is following through. After Ryan announced on Wednesday that he wouldn't seek re-election, Bryce tweeted at Ryan a link to apply for an apprenticeship position in the Ironworkers Local 8 union.
"Hey @SpeakerRyan, I'm a man of my word," Bryce said along with the link.
Bryce, a mustached union ironworker running for Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District, gained Internet fame when he announced his run to take down Ryan.

Kinda like a greenhorn on deck, but at least most of those had the cojones to give it a try.
I've seen college level football players wilt before a normal size wave out there.
