Preet Bharara: 'The likelihood that Michael Cohen is going to be charged is high'

Washington (CNN).............................

Cohen, who is President Donald Trump's personal attorney, had his home and office raided by the FBI on Monday.

"If I were still the United States attorney, no matter who the president was, and I was being asked to personally approve, as someone had to have been in the Southern District of New York, a search of someone's home and office who was counsel to the president -- I would want a lot more than the bare minimum proof of probable cause," Bharara, a CNN senior legal analyst who's a former US attorney, said on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" Tuesday night.

"So I predict, as we saw with Paul Manafort, that if they decided they had enough evidence to engage in a very aggressive, a very aggressive move, that the likelihood that Michael Cohen is going to be charged is high," Bharara added. ................................

I can’t help but suspect that Manaford has an”emergency self-exile” plan in the works.

Frankly, I can’t help but suspect that trump & family might try that kind of getaway too. He’d want to protect Ivanka and the kids for sure. So that’d have to include Jared, and also Melania and young Barron. Perhaps, though, depending on how big a hurry they might be in, Donnie Jr and Eric might be left behind.

Just speculating here.

However if he's hoping for a nice ride from DC/MerDeLardo to Putintown, he might be surprised at a mid-course ejection over the frigid Atlantic. The USAF will be closely following and cheering the evacuation.

And I think the number of charges against him will become so great he'll flip, especially when he discovers they can get him on a long list of state charges too, and eliminating trumps pardon he'll suggest to him he'll get. It'll also tie trump's hands when a lot of is crimes will become more exposed too, and with the state charges following him also. Watch how long it takes before they've started attacking the NY state US attorney , and accuse him or his people with illegal stuff all false but that's what he does. Which Hunt is now true, after more are hunting for the truth, and more crimes they've committed, and more charges against them.

is really obvious. In fact, that was my very first thought when I first read about the raid. Actually, my thought was about the judge, and just how sure that judge must have been to sign that warrant. He would have a VERY short career indeed if it were later quashed for insufficient grounds.
