Apparently Cohen was fond of recording things. Unclear about whether any recordings included Trump. Also, there is a problem if both parties were not aware of the recordings.

(5,271 posts)Cohen reportedly told people that because of NY law he could record without other party knowing and use phone recordings as leverage.

(14,167 posts)As several on MSNBC have speculated, they had to move to prevent Cohen from destroying evidence. Maybe Stormy knew that Cohen did this. Perhaps that's why Avenatti has been on Cohen's case so much... almost taunting him.

2) Shakespearean! How long until it is reported that there are gaps and edits?
3) When your attorney has an attorney, your case does not look good. In Trump's case, Cohen has at least two attorneys: Stephen Ryan and David Schwartz.

I don't know what rules might have bound Cohen as an attorney, though.
