I'm working on a post about Hunter Thompson's "Generation of Swine Gonzo Papers Vol 2 Tales of Shame and Degradation in the 80's" which I am just now finishing. His hyperbole is beyond TheFerret's, who is as well as I can discover, mainly accurate, whereas Hunter kicks fact out of the park in every chapter, but his metaphorical leaps and soars convey the essential truth, while TheFerret reexplains what we can all look up and find accurate, but with a flourish that gets to the guts of the situation. Hunter thought all of Reagan's lieutenants would do time, and what, one or two got a slap on the wrist?
Reason I want to do that post about HST's book is, to remind you youngsters that we've been here before, and there was at least as much corruption--sorry, I take that back-- nearly as much corruption, and the result was, slap on the wrist, let's move on, nothing to see here... which is what, follow me closely here, made me first aware of what the Trumpistas call "the deep state." There are various names, from various researchers, and we all know it's there.
