An IMPORTANT note on the Ohio Constitution Amendment on redistricting...

This amendment moves redistributing from the legislature to a bipartisan Comission. The vote is next month, during the PRIMARY, not in November during the General Election. So even if you don’t have a competitive Primary to vote on, you still need to show up for the CA vote.

In-person and regular absentee voting is now going on--check with your county board of elections!

If a plan does not get the support of 50% of the minority party, it gets kicked to a committee made up of thw governor, state auditor, secretary of state and two lawmakers from each political party. If Republicans hold even 2/3 of those statewide offices, there will be no incentive to make a deal with Democrats. In other words, Ohio Dems better make sure they nominate people who can win instead of nuts like Dennis Kucinich.

They’re both strong candidates (if Kucinich is the nominee) and support the Amendment as a be best option at present.
