(121,852 posts)Trump's 'broad-shouldered leadership'. Seems misogyny is another garden the GOP tend and keep alive, along with that fruitful orchard of racism.

(23,865 posts)No amount of therapy could get most of us through getting our dream job stolen from us. Let alone the presidency.
Im still with her.

(3,557 posts)It was a huge loss to me in many ways. Youre self-esteem and self-worth are tied to what you do and, when you lose the ability to work, its a hard hit on a person.
I never thought about the impact the loss of the presidency could have meant personally to Hillary Clinton.
Thanks for your remark, it definitely made me think of Hillary Clinton as a human and not some abstract thing.

(23,865 posts)you lost your dream job - and to a disability no less. I can't imagine what that would do to self esteem. I've always admired (and been a little bit envious) of people who know what they want to do and pursue that dream. I have had good jobs but I am not driven to do anything in particular at least as far as a career is concerned. You're right, the connection between self worth and what you do is very strong.

(15,486 posts)They are wannabe politicians who don't have the courage or charisma to run for office so they get jobs as head of state or federal agency. The bad ones spend their pathetic careers trying to get a moment in the sun.

(15,486 posts)I love when men get it. Maybe Hillary's loss changed something. I think her male supporters have seen how much shit women take.

(121,852 posts)go after her even when she doesn't. I am not seeing as much anti Comey stuff on the internet. They attack him for his actions. Not for who he is. I wonder what the difference is?
