Warning: As the walls close and reality sets in that the most damaging witnesses, secrets and evidence are no longer protected, fully expect the following: sheer panic, personal attacks, tirades, and distraction. But none of it will change the outcome in the end... #basta

(10,971 posts)Nobody really doubts or cares that Trump have sex with Stormy and other women too.
Im not really sure what Avenatti is talking about.
Yes, Trumps fixer paid her and others off.
Nobody will care about that either.
What people care about is the Russian connections and collusion.
Money laundering, witness tampering, tax fraud, etc.
Does he know about that stuff too even though its not germane to his clients case?

(1,089 posts)Cohen is going to flip and start singing. I forget who asked him about it, but when the interviewer said something about his opinion on flipping, he responded that he believes it's a fact that Cohen will flip.
If that's what happens, it could actually, finally be the proverbial back-breaking straw for Dump.

(6,537 posts)According to published reports, in the 70s and early 80s, the boss of the Russian mob in New York (and for practical purposes the whole U.S) was a man named Evsei Agron. Things ended badly for Agron when was gunned down in a mob hit in 1985. After Agron was assassinated, his organization was taken over by under-boss Marat Balagula. Authorities believed Balagula was behind Agrons killing. But he was never charged with the crime. Balagula ran things until 1991 when he was convicted of gasoline bootlegging. Nayfeld had been the bodyguard and enforcer for both Agron and Balagula, one would say more successfully in the latter case than the former. He took over the organization when Balagula went to prison.
What I didnt realize until now is that both Agron and his successor Balagula ran their operations out of an office in the El Caribe social club. So the El Caribe wasnt just a mob hangout. From the 70s through the 90s at least, the bosses of the Russian mafia in the U.S. literally ran their crime organization out of the El Caribe.
So Michael Cohens uncle Morton Levines social club was the headquarters of Russian organized crime in the U.S.
snip
According to Levine, who is apparently still alive, all his nieces and nephews owned shares of the El Caribe and still do. Levine told the AP that Michael Cohen owned his stake in the club until Donald Trump was elected President when he gave up his stake.

One of the abiding questions about Cohen is how he became so deeply enmeshed in the Ukrainian and Russian emigre communities from such an early age and moved so early into businesses heavily infiltrated by organized crime. He married a Ukrainian immigrant whose father got him into the taxi business and himself had at least one conviction for money laundering. Cohen was raised in the Five Towns area of Long Island, not far from Brighton Beach as the crow flies just across Jamaica Bay but worlds away culturally. The El Caribe seems like the logical locus which brought Cohen into this world.

(10,572 posts)Remember the good Christian but four-times-married Kim Davis who had two children with one man while married to another. These people dont care what Trump did in the past because he has repented and become a good Christian in their demented minds. After all, you can be forgiven anything if you repent. Meanwhile, they get to enjoy their rapture of hating brown and black people, hating people who have lived here illegally 20 years or more and been productive workers, hating women who want to take control of their lives and make their own medical decisions, hating the thought of all those brown and black people getting welfare because in their fantasy white people do not get welfare, hiding behind their demands for religious freedom, and hating the idea that a person of color can be considered as smart as a white person or even be president! Those are the things they love about Trump, and they will not give up the hatred he helps foster easily.

(11,195 posts)First you get all the edges done. That's relatively easy but the whole picture is very incomplete. Then you do the slow methodically work filling it in. The more you fill in the faster it goes. I think we're getting down to the last few pieces.

(11,885 posts)Trump will have his goons try to criminalize both himself and Stormy, as they have done many times to others, and are presently trying to do to Hillary and Comey and others. The same as Putin has done in Russia he's now doing it here. Another name for it is no rule of law, where they can criminalize whoever they want, and that's what trump wants badly. Corruption running wild out of this White House.
