Japanese media, can you do us a solid?
There's a joint press conference today with Prime Minister Abe and the Madman, schedule for 5:30 EDT.
Joint Pressers are very short (usually about 10-15 minutes) compared to solo press conferences (and Trump hasn't officially had one of those since February 2017, although there was the unofficial one in August 2017 at Trump Tower where he ended up praising white nationalists).
Trump will inevitably call on some friendly news entity like Fox or the Washington Times who will ask him softball questions about the Mar A Lago chocolate cake, so our only chance is the couple of Japanese reporters who get to ask question.
Since there's no chance in hell any legitimate journalists will get called on by Trump for the roughly two questions he fields at the joint presser, could someone in the Japanese media ask Trump why he is claiming today he didn't fire James Comey due to the Russian investigation when he claimed the opposite a year ago during his interview with Lester Holt?
Thanks in advance.
