(58,785 posts)the midterms. And see what the discovery phase might turn up! Trump can't be trusted to make a move without blabbing and otherwise hurting himself, much less his party.
Interestingly, although Trump keeps calling government people whom he's cast as enemies Democratic "deep state" conspirators, I've read they're all Republicans. McCabe's just among the latest.

(19,871 posts)pull the rug from under your feet 2 minutes before your retirement kicks in. That was some CRUEL shit that Trump did. And I can't wait for"Karma is a Bitch" to be applied to Trump.

(4,402 posts)How lame is that?
And the Comey memos show Trump is obsessed with it.
What CEO who has ever run an actual business with more than 10 employees picks out a middle manager, complains repeatedly to that person's supervisor and in public to the press that the middle manager can't be trusted because of something his wife did, and then fires the middle manager for no cause after gloating about the fact that he can stiff him out of his pension at the last second.
I hope McCabe takes him to the cleaners.

(7,220 posts)Or so I've heard on here somewhere. And trump (once again) is on the record via Twitter taunting McCabe about his retirement pension. Another judge already used such tweets against trump (in DACA case), saying it showed his intent.
I hope McCabe eats his lunch. And I hope trump is forced to pay out of his own goddamn pockets NOT OURS.

(7,220 posts)Trump specifically taunted McCabe about the possibility of not getting his benefits months ago. That pretty much proves the case for appeal, as that last sentence below shows:
ERISA Section 510, however, protects employees from being discharged if the reason is to deprive them of the right to a benefit under an ERISA-governed retirement or welfare plan.
An employer that fires an employee shortly before she or he vests in a pension or retiree health benefit "may find that they will need to show how their actions were not for the purpose of interfering with the attainment of a benefit right".
Lawsuits under ERISA Section 510 "can be brought straight to federal court and can leave the employer on the hook for money damages to the employee as well as payment of the employee's attorney's fees," said Arlington, Va.-based Tom Spiggle, founder of The Spiggle Law Firm, which represents employees. "To win such a lawsuit, the employee need only show that the firing or discriminatory action was motivated in part by an effort on the part of the employer to avoid paying a benefit."

(51,627 posts)Sandy Hook parents are suing Alex Jones. There are a lot of busy lawyers around these days. I guess that the most litigious fake Prez in our history will be getting a taste of his own medicine, or at least his GOP pals will.
