But he was an anomaly. However, most justices (regardless of their political affiliations) have occasionally deviated from the party line of the president who appointed them, and Gorsuch will probably do the same. He's pretty stuck on that constitutional originalism theory, and there will be cases where that theory will force him to side with the liberals and make the right decision, even if for the wrong reasons. Spanky has no idea how any of this works, of course.
